Trump may not realize it yet, but Guiliani is moving him from possible reelection mode to stay out of jail mode. The obvious strategy from Rudy is to convince enough people that there is a deep state that is out to get Trump. that there will never be a jury that would convict him. But in order to do that, he has to expose Trump to so many of his lies and misdeeds that he will never get reelected. Most of the people will see him for what he is.For instance, they have leaked the information that Cohen is prepared to state that Trump new in advance and approved of the Trump Tower meeting so that they could put their own spin on it, but this reveals that he has been lying about it all along. I don't think Guilliani would be supporting Trump in all of this unless he is guilty in this business himself.

(9,664 posts)I'm having trouble following how the text of your argument supports the title of your thread. Perhaps it's just me, but at my station, that train isn't being pulled by that engine.
Tomorrow may reveal a different opinion. good night.

(11,885 posts)And may resist yet more, but will at some point start claiming others of his crimes, and try to diminish his crimes. He'll claim others are at fault for these people coming after him , but the facts and the criminal acts will pile up too fast for him and others to defend. Especially if putin releases a tape of him taking putins orders from the treason summit. This guy is a career criminal , and it will come out about all his crimes against our country, against women, and against children. It will be overwhelming as it piles up against him. All those involved will be facing charges with him.

Dershowitz writes in the book that impeaching Trump would be possible if he did it because he was paid or extorted.
