Thoughts about Trump's good news about the economic growth.
What crossed my mind as Trump was pushing the good economic numbers in the Rose Garden, was that Trump wasn't fighting to justify his position as president. Not anymore. The tide has turned and what he was doing was trying to pad his good behavior profile. He might not know that yet, but we do. It's his last card to play. Hope for a cell with a golden toilet.
The other thought I had after following this historic era that began with the presidential election of 2016, is how it looked like it was impossible at one time to bring out the truth where we could use it to make positive change. And then, just like that, something broke in our favor and it appears that the truth will finally prevail. Every day, from this point on, will be a good day for those of us who believe that you have to give a damn, if you want to protect the foundation of this country.
And, it just occurred to me, that as hard as these last two years were to get to this point, there will probably be someone in the future who will say, it looked easy. He made it easy for you all.
No, it wasn't easy. Because we had to work against our own countrymen who resisted the truth.
