The Christian Right Doesn't Care About You
They don't. They never have and they never will. We had a president who was faithful to his wife and loyal to his family. But you know what the Christian right did? They trashed them and said they were un American and called her some extremely ugly things including an "ape in high heels" and even floated a conspiracy theory that she was a man in drag and that her daughters were paid actors.
They rally behind one of the most boorish, loathsome, and pig headed presidents we've ever had in American history because they are as boorish, loathsome, and pig headed as he is. That's why they are able to overlook his affairs with porn stars and pee tapes with Russian hookers. These people who love and support Trump are people who are just like them - serial cheaters and multiple divorcees who've committed some disgusting sex acts that would make the pee tape seem amateur by comparison. He's just like them.
That's why they supported his zero tolerance policy of ripping immigrant children away from their families because they don't give a shit about children. These assholes support child torture because they've probably tortured children themselves. Some of the holier than thou types like Rick Wiles and Theodore Shoebat? I wouldn't be surprised if they actually had real skeletons in their closet.
Really the only people who the Christian right really care about is other straight white Christian males. Bill Clinton has an affair with an adult female? They grill him for 8 years without hesitation and still continue to to THIS FUCKING DAY! But Trump literally walks in on underage women dressing in a locker room because he could - something that would get you or I placed on a registered sex offender list for the rest of our lives - he gets a mulligan!
Yes that's right - for all of Trump's failings, and his absolutely disgusting and appalling sex crimes, and the fact that he tortures children, they're willing to give him a second pass just like he's playing professional golf. Oh and that's something else Trump sucks at, but we'll save that for another subject.
Because the bottom line for the Christian right is that they don't give a fuck about you. They don't think America should be a land of peace and prosperity where everyone of all ages, races, sexes and creeds is welcome. They just want it to be for red blooded, white 'Mericans. They only think straight, white Christians should be able to own property, to have health care, to get married, to start businesses, and to be prosperous.
What they really want - and why they praise Trump, is that Trump is giving them exactly what they want - the judiciary. That's why he's nominating the most unqualified judges this country has ever seen. Because they can be easily controlled and manipulated by the Christian right. And they'll get it. Which is why they don't give a fuck. They want absolute power and they will praise the most boorish, loathsome jackass in the world to get it. Because he's just like them.

Religious institutions have just devolved into crazy conspiracy theory shitholes. The Russians knew who to target and where it would do the most damage. It's scary what is happening now.
