I’m betting others appreciated it. I used to do that in the waiting area when my husband was doing cardiac rehab. Only one old guy with a John Deere hat grumbled about Clinton News Network. I decided to ignore him.

It kills me to see this state go Republican as it has the past 15 years. Because in my youth WV was ALWAYS staunchly Democratic. But we have no manufacturing anymore, they broke the coal miners union here in the late 80s, the few coal mining jobs left are all non union. There arent any more union jobs here anymore like I remember it used to be.

The Republican party won on the union platform in America. There are no strong unions in America like their used to be.

a highly regarded "outsider," who'd first arrived as a VISTA volunteer. ( From PA, I lived there in the Seventies, and found everyone warm and welcoming). It's pretty hard to swallow that Trump is apparently his successor as a popular "politician" there, although he certainly campaigned heavily and continues to do so. Promises kept? Not so much.

If you want to know what YOU can do:

THIS is what you can do. Turn off Fox everywhere. Tell the Trumpers that Fox lies to them to get votes for billionaires.

Red county so they of course had FOX on the mounted tv's around the waiting area. I was getting so streamed. Finally I went up to the person in charged and asked them if they would please either change the channel or turn the set off. If I'm being forced to sit here for a few hours, I should not have to listen to a RW propaganda channel. She said she wasn't sure what she could do, but would check. Shortly the channel was changed to CNN. This was before Trump, during Obama's admin.

Some phones, like older Samsung Notes and LG have built-in IR blasters. You can get an an app that uses it to become a universal remote and change the channel with your phone if you're close enough to the tv.

I recently got a different phone, and very few models still have that IR blaster. So I also got one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/GuDoQi-Controller-Universal-Infrared-Smartphone/dp/B0794VWSZ9/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1532786629&sr=8-9&keywords=universal+remote+for+phone

That $13 buys me a lot of peace. It actually has almost the same range as a regular remote, and so far it has worked on every TV, including ones mounted too high to reach. Just have to be close enough to read the brand name.
