PR Propaganda vs The Law ?

Should the law be dictated by polls or popularity?

Some seem to believe that any problem, even criminal, can be defeated with the right message and the right PR campaign. This has been the White House modus operandi since before the election. So long as they can divide the issue into a partisan debate, they can defeat the laws of this country.

Can someone actually shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue and not suffer any consequences, so long as they have their supporters standing behind them? Should the law take into consideration the popularity of a person before they apply the law?

Sometimes our politics seem like gang warfare. We own this ground and you are not permitted to come upon it. The law does not apply. We will march with our guns if you oppose us.

A key to war propaganda. It can 'rationalize'/excuse, . . . using/killing small children.

The South, and many others, never suffered the full consequences of their slavering, apparently to this day among some.

So we do need laws, undergirded by Constitutions, and traditions.

And, hopefuly learn a few lessons of history - international, national, regional, local, polls, and, . . . personal.

Hopefully
