(13,520 posts)In a statement from Lewis' office, they said:
"Rep. John Lewis is in the hospital tonight for routine observation. Hes resting comfortably and expects to be released tomorrow."
Routine observation is a good idea, and I bet Rep. Lewis is just running too hard and fast in these wicked summer temps!!
Rest up good sir, well see you tomorrow!

(62,444 posts)Happens to me all the time. It's sucks. And it's quite common. At least one person on every flight has a fainting episode of some kind. Also could be a attitude sickness. I get that as well. Lucky me. That really sucks, but when the plane drops down to below 10k usually you start recovering right away.

(58,785 posts)The reason was undisclosed except that he would remain overnight for "routine observation." Sounds like in the ER his labs and/or symptoms suggested caution because of his age and he was admitted for monitoring.
