(31,961 posts)There are a million reasons medical care is cheaper in Mexico than the U.S. but socialism is not one of them.

(4,066 posts)They all think of Mexicans as dirty gardeners and maids. Why are they okay with letting them do medical work on them?
I knew they were seriously, mentally challenged. This just proves it more.

(3,473 posts)It has more to do with them not wanting non-whites immigrating here.

(31,261 posts)crazy, I look at the motion of muscles in their face, lots of weird motion and spasms. I am convinced that most of those people checked out of reality a long time ago and are just hanging on to a thread of sanity.

You literally walk from the US
30% of the cost quality good or better than what you get.
$ 2,400 crown/bridge work will come out to $ 700.

(29,699 posts)Maybe I'll visit Yuma and cross to Algadones for my dental work.
Nevernose
(13,081 posts)You have to go multiple times for an implant, which can get pricey if you have to travel a ways. You can make it cheaper by spending the night in Mexico instead of Yuma. Its also totally safe in Los Algodones it feels a lot like the border towns did when I was a kid, before the Cartel Wars and before anyone gave a shit about passports to Mexico.
Keep in mind that Mexican dentists that treat Americans are usually certified by the same organizations that verify Americans. BUT, they cant give post-operative pain meds. Local anesthetics no problem, but nothing for afterwards. At least not anything worth taking. I had a wisdom tooth pulled in Tijuana a few years ago, and I walked out with a prescription for Meloxican, antibiotics, and tequila. Tequila. Actually written on the paper, as needed for pain.

(54,325 posts)There are German-speaking dental clinics in Budapest, Hungary that do dental work for a cost of what dentists charge in Germany, and there is a huge stream of medical "cost refugees" from Germany that go down there to get medical work done. It's not far, especially from southern Germany, and patients, depending on what kind of procedures the want done, pay a fraction of what they would pay in Germany.
