....Sha Na Na was the opening act and kicked ass, followed by one of my favorite old-time bands, the James Gang, who brought the house down. Rare Earth, who was the headliner came on last. They sucked so bad that they cut the power on them at midnight. To add insult to injury, when they were leaving in their limo with a couple of (girlfriends/wives?), a buddy of mine asked them if they wanted to buy a James Gang poster. The last words we heard was "F**k You!!!" Memorable night.
