The GOP candidate is Trumpster Bill Schuette, he's an absolute monster.

I'm voting for Abdul in the primary, but Whitmer is a big favorite to win the nomination and the governorship. She's a solid liberal candidate with a good track record of fighting for working people.

I lived in Michigan when Geoffrey Feiger won the 1998 nomination, so I’m on pins and needles until next week.

He's 33, he has not worked in state politics and (even though this isn't him, I haven't heard him disassociate from it), his father is filing a meritless suit against Eastern Michigan University. I don't get the appeal of Sayed.

Gretchen all the way. She's earned it - put in the work at the state level for YEARS.

Is that, should Abdul be nominated, the Republicans may ask the court to kick him off the ballot due to his recent New York residence.

But I don't see any separation on the issues between him and Gretchen Whitmer that makes him any better than she is as a potential governor, and she has far more experience.

I think the old divide-and-conquer people are at it again. Schuette is dreadful, but if the Democrats can be divided ahead of time and people are bitter (like the Bernie people were), then there will be a problem. There is absolutely no reason to vote for him over Whitmer, among other things, he's young enough to build up some credentials if he loses.

Planned Parenthood -- the reproductive health provider -- does not and CAN NOT participate in political activity. Planned Parenthood ACTION FUND is an independent political arm that engages in political activity in support of women's reproductive rights.
