I have no words. But this has to be the worst campaign I've ever seen for any candidate ever!

(7,429 posts)The fact that he's ahead now in Florida is a bad sign. Look Putnam is just as bad as him, so I don't want either of them near the Governor's mansion. Both of them are trying to showcase who is more "trumpian" in their ads. But this one is really pathetic

(10,868 posts)DeSantis and Scott. Vs. Nelson and probably Graham will give Floridians a very stark choice for Gov and Senate races.

(58,785 posts)Avoids the brain and enters the psyche through the gut. They've always imagined themselves the good people, and DeSantis reassures them they are while remaining steadfastly loyal to whatever trumpsters like to imagine they voted for.
A lot of Republicans really don't like tearing families apart to put children in cages, btw, and this has become a huge problem for the right. Expect we'll be seeing a lot more of these cognitively dissonant messages linking loyalty to Trump with loving Republicans and their happy children.

I would be beyond thrilled if our own messaging was anywhere near that caliber.

(31,261 posts)Next to gun political ads, stuff like that have republicans slapping their knees and doubled over in laugher. That is their sense of humor.
