And he's always been an egomaniac. At this point he's in it for the ego gratification because he used to be somebody and now he isn't - he can be somebody again only through his association with Trump. Same with Alan Dershowitz. I don't think either of them realize what asses they're making of themselves. I realize that Trump is a tough defense even for a good lawyer (which Trump seems to be unable to hire), but if either of those old fools had have a firing neuron in either of their brains they'd just STFU and limit their media comments to bland statements to the effect that their client maintains his innocence, blah blah blah.

There was a major or large fight over cutting his points at the end and so no one was surprised when Rudy left. Rudy was not bringing in enough or any meaningful business and so the executive committee cut his sharing ratio or points.

But it doesn't surprise me at all that Rudy didn't do anything useful but wanted a fat share anyhow.

they're *all* in it for the tax cuts and the hate.

they're all spinning desperately to avoid justice, and to further their crimes and their propaganda.

if he's every going to make actual legal arguments (which i doubt), that would be for the courtroom.

when he goes on tv, he's not acting as a lawyer really; he's acting as a p.r. person playing the role of a lawyer.

he's not actually advancing legitimate legal arguments because tv is not a courtroom and their whole scam is to spin, spin, spin.

Whether of not Trump has someone doing real lawyer work, Rudy is simply not. Rudy is simply being a word salad chef.

He said, quite simply, "If you're talking to the media, you're losing."

Trump thinks he won the election thru media and twitter balderdash and look-at-outrageous-me television ratings. He is a freak about television and eyes on him ratings.

He thinks he can win the Russian case same way, free media and glorified bullshitting.

RG is just a shill. A carnival barking huckster for the side show freak.

The more scammy, scummy and show me,he is, the more Trump loves him.

In the long run he might think he will get a cabinet position in the end as a reward.
