(38,000 posts)To me, the promised "dirt" was data/emails stolen by the Russians. Team Orange went into that meeting knowing they might obtain information that was stolen. It doesn't matter if it turned out to be a "nothingburger". They went there to receive stolen goods.
"Collusion" is just a buzzword distraction the right uses to draw attention away from the crime.

(57,081 posts)to a further crime/crimes. Collusion isn't the crime, its the descriptor of the crime, it describes a series of seemingly unconnected crimes that are committed in concert to further an ultimate crime.
Accessory before or after the fact is an example of collusion.
Mueller hasn't listed the specific crimes yet. Give Mueller a chance and remember who it is talking only about collusion: only cheetolini and his flying monkeys.
When they finally get down to specific charges against the entire lot of them, collusion will become conspiracy.

(57,081 posts)I think Mueller will be releasing charges fairly soon, I hope he does it within a week or so before the elections.
The collusion is encouraging the Russians to hack the DNC, the crime resulting from that collusion is a conspiracy to steal an election, hacking the DNC and contacting foreign powers in violation of Federal law. Plus whatever else Muellers not let us in yet.
