He is unstable and unpredictable, as well as being an unapologetic criminal.

Perhaps it would be best if Robert Mueller were to keep his investigation open for as long as Donald Trump is in the White House? It may help to keep him under some sort of control?

Most folks would be happy if Mueller's investigation were to end tomorrow, but it might be unwise to give a clean bill of health to Donald J Trump? It is unfortunate that we have a leader that cannot be trusted to act rationally.

But it is what it is... we will endure until this crisis is over.

Congress should be monitoring and checking the activities of an unstable president who cannot be trusted with power, of course. But the corrupt Republicans in charge are the symptoms of the same underlying right wing disease.

The DoJ decides what falls within its scope. Not Mueller. Rosenstein, and Jeff Sessions is his boss.

Scrupulous probity and adherence to the law is Rosenstein's and Mueller's only but extremely powerful defense against attempts by the entire right to stop the investigation. Any weakness in that, and the barbarian hoards will pour through it and destroy.
