https://chicago.suntimes.com/entertainment/alan-alda-mash-parkinsons-diseaseNEW YORK Actor Alan Alda says he has Parkinsons disease.
Appearing Tuesday on CBS This Morning, the former M.A.S.H. star said he was diagnosed with the neurodegenerative disorder three and a half years ago. Alda says he expects a tabloid will soon publish a story about his diagnosis.
The 82-year-old says hes not angry and considers it a challenge. Alda says he has acted and given talks since then. He says he could see his thumb twitch in a recent podcast and thought someone would soon do a sad story.
Alda says revealing his diagnosis might be helpful to others with Parkinsons that there are things they can do.
This is terrible. Parkinson's is what killed my father. Best wishes and prayers for you, Mr. Alda.

It is a dreadful disease. I wish the best to Alan Alda, and I hope there is a more effective treatment in the pipeline or soon will be.

And we watched Grandpa deteriorate with it. We are going to try CBD oil. I'm told it is good for Parkinson's sufferers.
I'm sorry about your Dad!
