3 more Russian journalists killed while investigating a Kremlin private mercenary group

Julia Ioffe
‏@juliaioffe

Three more Russian journalists—including the amazing Orhan Dzhemal—were killed while investigating the Kremlin's private mercenary group, Wagner. (https://www.ouest-france.fr/monde/centrafrique/trois-journalistes-russes-assassines-en-centrafrique-5904255)

More from Ioffe:

Wagner, which has sent Russian mercenaries to Ukraine, Syria, Sudan, and CAR, is owned by Putin "chef," Evgeny Prigozhin. He also owns the Internet Research Agency, aka the Troll Factory. He was sanctioned by US Treasury in March 2018.

In April, another Russian journalist who had been investigating Wagner fell from his window a day after he saw men in special forces uniforms casing his apartment. Today's killings bring the tally to 4 dead journalists.

Last week, the outgoing head of the CIA, Mike Pompeo, said that "a couple hundred" Russian mercenaries died in the clash in Deir al-Zour province. The mercenaries were apparently taking part in an attack by pro-Syrian government fighters on the headquarters of a US ally, the Syrian Democratic Forces...

because their ideas about running government and business are corrupt...meaning, their ideas suck for everyone else but their own sorry asses. I hope these assholes who kill journalists get their comeuppance, swiftly. Putin the Prick especially.
