Everyone around me, family and helpers, are in the Trump bubble. Only exception my cleaning lady and one or 2 others.

I need their help -

I live in a red state, but have to interact with "them:. Luckily there is a custom here of not talking politics or religion with any one but close friends, and family, if possible.
that rule smooths the road of social ability down here.

2. You're in a tough spot

and I don't envy you. I depend on a Trumpie neighbor who very kindly cuts my lawn for free, but if he gets pissed off, I can cut it myself if I have to. Maybe you should quietly explore other transpo options--would your cleaning lady give you a lift?

3. Establish a no talking politics rule and stick with it.

If they bring it up, just stop them and tell them you do not want to talk politics. And don't bring up politics yourself.

It's hard but necessary for your well being.

4. Pretty much have no politics policy with brothers. I ignore guy's political tms. Stillll---

I live in the reddest part of Texas. It's practically inescapable. I came to DU in 2004 when it was literally dangerous for me to be a Democrat in public. :heart:
