I am definitely gonna go with the C.C. for sure. Yea, Trump scare me, however a C.C. could make D. Trump "President" for life. In my opinion, with eyes still on Trump, we gotta keep that other eye on Congress.

(4,723 posts)We can clean up most of Trumps mess, but a a constitutional convention will fundamentally change this country, permanently. The US will cease to exist as we know it.

(4,448 posts)and within a decade, we'll be hating on the next Republican who will no doubt be worse than Trump, who is worse than W, who is worse than Bush and so on.
But a constitutional convention? That doesn't go away.

CONSERVATIVE POLITICAL IDEOLOGY CAN NOT WIN UNLESS THEY CHEAT.
And a Constitutional Convention would allow them the ultimate cheat. Based on demographics, conservatives could easily split the vote and change the 1st amendment, for instance, installing Christianity as the law of the land.
Then...well...pretty much kiss your freedoms goodbye.
