Fox News Beats Seth Rich's Parents in Court

A federal judge on Thursday handed Fox News a victory in a lawsuit filed against the network by the parents of slain DNC staffer Seth Rich. The conservative cable-news network had filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit on the basis of Rich’s family failing to state a claim, and United States District Judge George B. Daniels agreed. Joel and Mary Rich filed the suit last year against Fox News, reporter Malia Zimmerman, and contributor Ed Butowsky, claiming the defendants conspired to inflict emotional distress upon the Rich family by publishing a now-retracted article alleging that Seth, a former DNC staffer, was murdered for leaking private emails to WikiLeaks during the 2016 election.
