Will blood accompany a "Blue Wave?"

In addition to "fake news," and "witch hunt," Trump has also referred to "rigged elections."

As we near election day, if it becomes more apparent that a "Blue Wave" will actually happen, you can bet we'll hear much more about "rigged elections" from him.

We've seen the crazed, mob-like actions of Trump's followers at rallies when he whips them up into a frenzy.

I, for one, fear the reaction of many of them if/when that "Blue Wave" occurs. I truly believe that we will see violence from many of Trump's followers. How far it goes and how out of hand it gets is the big question. Will it be enough for him to declare martial law? Is that of his plan? I don't know.

Nonetheless, I feel we are nearing a very dangerous moment in the upcoming election.

But, having seen the craziness Trump can whip up among his supporters, doesn't give me any confidence that the outcome of the upcoming election will be peaceful.

There are many ignorant people, (and some outright crazies), who can easily be manipulated. Trump's, cohorts, in addition to Fox "news," hate radio, and the online wingnut echo chambers, are brilliant at stirring up discontent, hatred and even violence.

Along with you, I hope the election's outcome, (If a "Blue Wave), will not result in anything more than "sound and fury." But given the recent history of wingnut craziness, I fear that things may get ugly. Hopefully,you and I are wrong.

I think the reaction after Charlotteville was illuminating. Trump wants a private army to come and rescue him, wants his own volunteer brown shirts to take up arms when the inevitable happens. He's been unable to coopt the military, and even with ICE there's been a lot of pushback as the child separation debacle unfolded, that they are being too politicized. Yet after Charlotteville many in that movement received a hard reality check about the consequences of listening to him.

If Congress flips, many of them may secretly give a sigh of relief. When your party controls all three branches of government and you still can't accomplish anything, it becomes increasingly obvious you're incompetent.
