I guess it happens, but it's very rare. Hopefully it will fizzle out before any damage is done.

My mom was 6 months pregnant with me She also had my 18 mo old sister with her as well. She hid in the middle hallway of her apartment with my sister. It tore the roof off her apt building. Our apartment was on the second floor of a three story building. We were living in Curtiss Apartments at the time.

We only have 6 more days vacation and then the real world starts again for 11 months. The only distraction I ever welcomed while I'm here (Truro, Massachusetts) was the one I received 6 years ago.*

*When you get an email asking if you would like an hour with President Barack Obama in Washington, the first answer that pops into your mind is NOT "no, thanks, I'm on vacation--some other time, perhaps."

It probably won't be much of a beach day though. Hope you and your family are enjoying yourselves anyway!

So did you go down to meet w/ Obama? What was he like when you met him? A friend of mine is married to Ash Carter. She said Obama was very nice, but a bit reserved in person.

Now, in the last hour, we have seen more rain than we have in the whole time since we got here.

Here is the post I put up after the WH sent me up the photos:

They represent hope for so many people.

I hope the weather gets better for you down on the cape - I think the upcoming week is supposed to be hot and sunny, but humid with maybe a few scattered showers here and there.

I don't have a law degree from Harvard (or anywhere else), but in the one hour, we covered the 2012 election, health care, the US budget, Syria (as it stood at the time), the Egyptian economy, Republican voter suppression and a few other topics. I wish we could have gone on for another couple of hours, but he had this day job he had to get back to.......
