Ted Lieu Retweeted Donald J. Trump
Conspiring with a foreign power to get dirt on an opponent in US elections is a violation of campaign finance laws.

This tweet by @realDonaldTrump also shows he lied when he drafted the statement about the meeting. It wasn't about Russian adoptions.

He's admitting they were meeting with a foreign agent for political purposes? How is this supposed to be helping Trump Jr? He's admitting the meeting was a campaign violation.

So it's all a lie. And he's not helping Don Jr. at all. He basically just flipped the switch on him.

It has already been said that the current Manafort trial won't go near any of that...this one is all about the money trail.

But Junior is catching the most heat right now for lying to Congress, for starters.

Just asking, perhaps Junior didn't know, or maybe it is legal to lie to Congress. What is the truth on this?

Lying and criminal activity pay well, especially if you have the repuglicon party watching your ass.

Some of which originated from Russians ... is the same thing, that's his gambit.

It's, of course, WILDLY different (and AFAIK, said 'dirt' was never directly provided to her campaign as Steele saw his discoveries as being to important/concerning for ordinary political 'usage', and instead shared it with McCain and the FBI instead of the Clinton Campaign), but his braindead Cultists and the Faux Nooz knuckle-draggers will never rub their two brain cells together and realize this obviously massive discrepancy.

BTW, I'm quite certain that the meeting DID indeed have talk of 'Russian Adoptions' ... but the use of this phrase, esp. in context of "Russia would very much like to see the Adoption Program working once again for Russian Children and American parents" was very much a nudge nudge wink wink scenario. Such talk (and you KNOW it happened) was very obviously "Code" for "Promise to get rid of Russia sanctions, and we'll start releasing 'dirt' (held by Russian Military Intel Agencies) through WikiLeaks!"

8. Why do these guys think saying "it was only about adoptions"
Sun Aug 5, 2018, 02:18 PM
Aug 2018

makes this meeting innocent???

Russian adoptions were halted by Putin in response to Obama's sanctions. "Adoptions" means "sanctions."

Getting Russian adoptions going again means getting rid of sanctions.

Jesus Christ.

Over and over again with the adoptions. Do you think they really don't understand the relationship between adoptions and sanctions?

For the purpose of getting dirt from stolen emails is illegal, and criminal , lying about it is illegal , and covering it up is illegal. Working with an enemy for political gains IS illegal, and conspiring with the enemy to do this is treasonous.

to ask him the question? He has said and written (currently tweets do count as legal sources of info) that he was not there. Isn't that enough to nail him for lying or do they need perjury in person?

A guest just said that Mueller doesn't NEED the moron to prove his case but it is "probably just another box that Mueller would like to check off". All his verbal and written (tweets count) statements as well as tons of evidence from other people are enough to nail him.

Mueller established his Russian targets first. About the only option for Trump is to claim he was unknowingly used which when his finances are examined is utter fabrication.

the fake prez and his family.

Malcolm Nance told Bill Maher that even if Rosenstein and Mueller are fired the results of the investigation can't be tossed out or hidden by the GOP since there are about 20 different levels that it has to go through so a lot of copies and people have back-ups. He said that if anyone attempts to destroy it a zillion copies will be dropped off in front of The NY Times. That makes me feel better...it is like insurance.

Notice how Ivanka has already lost her clothing business. Donald’s name (primary source of income) has become internationally mud, his golf courses lose money, Russians will not be too keen to invest on an asset that cannot deliver. All of those shady loans are coming due and the Secret Service golf cart rentals and pay to play will not help. The Emollients Clause will catch up with him and is headed to court. Trump is headed for the Great Final Bankruptcy even if all of the investigations do not work out. Publicity is no longer his friend. Poverty alone will be a death sentence for this raging ass.

Whether they seize his assets when he is found guilty or whether he loses everything anyway works for me. They sold this country to the enemy for $$$$$$. The complicit GOP traitors should go personally bankrupt too.

15. Trump admitting to obstruction: admitting he lied about meeting in his statement in July 2017
Sun Aug 5, 2018, 03:53 PM
Aug 2018

Flying home from Germany on July 8 aboard Air Force One, Trump personally dictated a statement in which Trump Jr. said that he and the Russian lawyer had “primarily discussed a program about the adoption of Russian children” when they met in June 2016, according to multiple people with knowledge of the deliberations. The statement, issued to the New York Times as it prepared an article, emphasized that the subject of the meeting was “not a campaign issue at the time.”
