Pence is already mentally measuring the draperies in the Oval Office.

I have had dogs who have looked that lovingly at me when they wanted me to give them dinner.

Manafort lied to Trump, told him the plane couldn't take off b/c of malfunction, convinced him to take advantage of that time to meet w/ Pence, who he didn't know yet. Trump didn't want to do it. He just wanted to leave, and get back home. He already had decided he wanted Christie. Manafort snookered Trump into opening the door to Pence, who smarmed his way right into Trump's good graces with the same sick sycophancy he employs when talking about his top Jesus and his Sky-Daddy.
We know Manafort is compromised. We know Trump is too. And in both cases we now know the truth is worse than most of the cynical-yet-still-credible people were willing to guess at the time. So what's the deal with Pence? How bad is his compromise that we will one day learn of? There must have been some reason why Manafort thought, "of all the right wing Jesus-humpers in the country, *THIS* is the one for us."
