A Michigan woman with cerebral palsy was recently denied a manicure at a Walmart nail salon.

The employees told the woman that due to her medical condition, the manicurist could not paint her nails because her hands were took shaky.

That’s when a nearby Walmart employee stepped in.

Tasia Smith captured cashier Ebony Harris skipping her break to paint the woman’s nails at the Subway inside the store.

"Ebony deserved all the appreciation she could get,” Smith said.

Harris said she watched the nail salon refuse to do Angela Peters’ nails and decided to do something about it.

"I just wanted to make her day special. I didn't really want her day to be ruined. That's why I did it. Because and plus she's a sweetie,” Harris said.

Together, the two picked out some polish and posted up for a manicure.

"And you know, she moved her hands a little bit and she kept saying she was sorry, And I told her don't say that. I said you're fine,” Harris said.

The simple act of patience and kindness that’s still making Peters smile.

The actions of true everyday Americans are blessings, not the hate filled actions we see by supposed American "patriots" today.

Ms. Harris is. Foregoing her break to do this. The world really does have some great people in it. We just hear more about the creeps and greedy ones, like the "representatives" in DC, all grabbing Russian money.

I brought my son to a Six Flags water park. We had season tickets for the main park, and they allow you to go the the water park “for free” on certain days. Let me just say, since my disease is quite advanced, a trip to any theme park is like torture for me, and lately, whether it’s Trunpism or rudeness, it’s also an excercize in humiliation. People say horrible things, assuming that I’m “faking it,” and six flags offers no help really at all for those of us who are disabled, so faking gets nowhere.
Anyway....so water park wanted a hand print. My neurological symptoms were bad that day. My hands were all over the place. It was incredibly uncomfortable and made normal life impossible (couldn’t even brush my own hair). They guy kept yelling at me to make them stop moving! Should have thought to yell as them when trying to brush my teeth. My son held them down as best he could, and then said, “Look Mister, she’s just trying to bring me. You can tell she’s not going to have any of her own fun today and she needs to get out of the sun. Please. It’s not her fault!” And he did.
Why on earth would people not realize that if we could not the shaking, we WOULD! In a heart beat! So glad her moment was saved!

I was behind a woman in the check out line last week who was trying to pay with cash and her hands were shaking very badly. The clerk was getting irritated, and the people behind me were making the shuffling and sighing noises you get from impatient lines. She was only about 40 if I had to guess, and I heard someone behind me say something about her probably being a junkie. Not sure if she heard or not, but it was certainly possible.

I picked up a dollar bill she had dropped and simply asked, "Ma'am is there anything I can do to help? My family is prone to palsy so I know how frustrating shaking hands can be."

I put both my hands around hers to pass off the wallet and counted out her payment, put her change away, and slipped her wallet into her purse. Done. I'm nothing special and would be appalled if I got attention for doing what I think is second nature. If someone looks like they need help and you have the ability, you offer to help. What inconvenience did I suffer? Not one damn thing.

She waited for me outside to thank me privately and told me she had lupus and never knows when tremors will happen so badly. Damn I hope she didn't hear the assholes behind me in line.

And I’ve heard the junkie rumors myself, if not off-handed remarks, then from people who have moved away and have touched base, checking on my health and also letting me know that the town generally is under the impression that I’m a heroine addict. Maybe they shouldn’t tell me, but it explains why I’ve lost so many friends. The neurological stuff is the worst because you don’t know when it’s coming and there’s really nothing you can do. I sometimes slur, lose my balance, get confused. I can see how the rumors started, but it would be just as easy to spread the truth. Thank you for the kindness that you showed that woman. We are simply trying to live a portion of what was once our lives, to feel useful and normal, but our bodies have become our enemy. You helped her do something that, as silly as it sounds, probably caused her to feel some pride in herself.
