If you are driving around Las Vegas, Nevada, and happen to be on a road with a 45 MPH speed limit, you may come across something surprising. Some motorists in Vegas are noticing that those traditional signs that normally read Speed Limit 45 now says Impeach 45, in protest of our 45th President, Donald Trump.
On the surface this may look like a traditional act of vandalism, but in actuality there are good intentions behind this magnetic quasi-vandalism.
A man who goes by the name Eric Levi, for anonymitys sake, tells Hill Reporter that his actions are actually for a good cause.

I have a campaign where I hang one of these signs for every shirt bought, and the proceeds [go to] feeding and clothing homeless veterans in Las Vegas, Levi tells us. I only attach the signs with magnets, to ensure I cause no damage. I return within 24 hours and remove them, and apply them at a different location.........

(3,569 posts)I've seen photos, but never knew the story. Id like to get some decals like that and put em out around here. I'm not quite as altruistic as Eric Levy, so not caring if they are permanent. Or charity oriented. I do find it brilliant in a "why didn't I think of that" kind of way. Around here, NORCAL,45 is the default speed limit everywhere.

(18,402 posts)that we've passed for years: on one side, it says "HELL IS REAL" (if you're traveling south); on the opposite side (traveling north) it says "JESUS IS REAL." We were traveling that route recently, and my husband was driving substantially over the speed limit; as we were about to near that sign, I said to him, "Remember, Hell Is Real!"
Well, we soon came upon the billboard and, to our great amusement, someone had tacked a very professional banner sign running the entire length of the billboard beneath it, in the same white on black lettering, reading "WELCOME TO AMERICA"! Wish we could have taken a picture of the new sign, but imagine it below the old one:
