I consider the movie to be timeless. Pot brownies in one hand, a roll of toilet paper in the other, and off we go to quite a few midnight showings back then.

Though they seem to be more in tune with past hits and cult films that I was in my youth. I blame it on the internet!
I first saw Rocky Horror in 1977 in a theater on Market Street in San Francisco with the two gay friends my husband and I drove across country to visit. Everyone in the audience was stoned on something - we passed several joints around the balcony during the film.
That was long before there was much audience participation and no one was dressed as a character that night. But we all had a great time!
