What Teenager Is Not Highly Sexualized?

I realize someone probably brought this up years ago, but I am watching the first two episodes of Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story and I just saw a clip of a news anchor saying that Trayvon Martin was highly sexualized. When I heard that, my first thought was what teenager is not highly sexualized. I knew guys in high school who were sleeping with every female they could get into a bed. Some of the kids openly talked about their sex lives in class.

It is just crazy that someone could have used the idea that Trayvon Martin was highly sexualized as some type of negative against him. I do not want to make light of sex, but being highly sexualized seems to be a part of being a teenager. Even if kids are not having sex there is a good chance that they are thinking about sex, or if they have not already, they are beginning to see the bodies of fellow teenagers and others around them in a sexual way.

You know: Trayvon was like that but "good white kids" aren't.

The hormonal changes that affect young'uns are hardly confined to one race or ethnic group.

teenagers (over, say 16) are past puberty and are figuring out that they have a power over others (if they weren't aware of it before) through sexual attraction. But I have never heard that they are "highly sexualized"... this sounds like it might be a racist trope on Treyvon... a throw back to "Mandingo" imagery (black men are dangerous because they can't control themselves, blah, blah)

And it’s so abnormal that I actually hope he’s hiding something from me! How weird is THAT?!? I mean, I hope he doesn’t come home with the, “Surprise, you’re a grandma!” speech, but I’d be secretly thrilled to find porn on his computer!
