Regarding DOJ guideline...don't let investigation get too close to Election date...An attny just made a comment on Brian Williams...

I think most experts I read agree this investigation could go on for several years if all threads are followed to completion.

So, that would simply mean "don't drop a bunch of indictments" right before any election...... .......

6. Not everyone is understanding

the point of this thread. Trump isn't on the ballot in November, there should be no need to hold back the Mueller investigation. It makes me laugh, or cry, that Mueller is supposed to wait until after the election to bring out dirt on Republican traitors. After all if we have proof that several Republicans are traitors we might get a couple dozen pro Trump people to vote Dem? Nah.

The M$M has already pushed the narrative; no bombshells after Labor Day. Democrats have to not only fight traitorous Republicans but also the M$M.

8. I'm not a lawyer or a gman, but I think there is some sense to the rule.

It was probably put in place to reduce the appearance that any given investigation is politically motivated, and to provide a disincentive for starting politically motivated investigations.

Of course it isn't a perfect solution for the reason you said, and we also aren't dealing with normal politicians.
