NFL player wallops Trump for attacking black athletes more than neo-Nazis marching in DC this weekend

President Donald Trump on Friday once again attacked NFL players who knelt during the national anthem to protest against police brutality during preseason games this week.
New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan, however, called out the president for spending more of his time attacking black athletes protesting peacefully than the neo-Nazis that are planning to march in Washington D.C. this weekend.

Jordan continued to bash Trump in followup tweets and went so far as to call the president a goober.

(41,987 posts)Those tweets this morning-be happy and play-reminded me of that character on MASH played by Henry Morgan before he became Potter. Addressing a black soldier he asked him to do something and ended it with but first, a number!

(11,885 posts)And is playing the owners for fools. As long as they don't stand up against him , it'll continue, and get worse. The owners should stop playing it to make a point to him they will not allow him to politicize it and divide with anymore. Players should unite and continue as they want to do WITH the backing of their owners. As long as they bow down he'll keep demanding more.

(29,322 posts)He is far behind though he says players to restrict their statements only on game days but said his support of Kavanaugh isn't political since they played high school football together.

(15,286 posts)I think it was on Chris Hayes' show tonight that MSNBC showed an AP report that Trump has planned all along to re-start the "national anthem controversy" in the run up to the mid-terms because he thinks it will motive his base to vote.
NFL players/owners/supporters should be mindful of Trump's strategy when deciding whether to engage him.

(8,419 posts)They have a right to speak out.
As for the racist mother fuckers who support tRump, fuck them to hell.
Out vote them, knock them the fuck down, shit on their face and walk away.
FFS this is why liberals get the snowflake label. These people and tRump need to be called out. And when the media goes off on liberals for being mean, tough.
There is only one way to stop a bully, make them fear you.
When the middle of the roaders see liberals kicking ass then we will get back some of that rural vote.
