So I guess the suggestion was appreciated (or at least heeded).

I've used words incorrectly on here from time to time, and I am always grateful when those errors are pointed out so I don't make the same mistakes in the future.

Assuming you mean the limit on contributions by one individual to one candidate for one federal election, with a primary, a runoff, and a general election each being considered a separate election for the same office.

According to the "Contribution limits" page on the FEC website, the maximum is indexed for inflation in odd-numbered years. Therefore, it changes for each cycle.

There's a special term to refer to men who think that merely writing to a woman on the internet entitles them to that woman writing back and engaging with them in a conversation.
