Majority disapprove of Trumps job performance, poll says
A majority of registered U.S. voters disapprove of President Donald Trumps job performance, according to a poll that was released on Friday.
The Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking poll found that 52 percent of the respondents said Trump is not doing a good job, compared with 46 percent who said he is doing a good job.
Meanwhile, 43 percent said they strongly disapprove of the presidents job performance and 32 percent said they strongly approve.
The Rasmussen sampling included 1,500 likely voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.
Fridays poll results show Trump at his lowest approval rating for the month thus far, according to Rasmussen projections. The presidents approval rating fluctuated between 47-50 percent from Aug. 1-9. Rasmussen polls are released on weekdays.

(10,721 posts)Trump's approval rating has been remarkably steady. Far steadier than other presidents, which I think is a direct result of his following being so cult-like. He has a relatively low ceiling (meaning a strong economy doesn't give him a bump like it would for predecessors), but he also has a floor that's probably not much lower than where he's been sitting for the last 19 months.

(10,721 posts)And it's almost entirely the product of racism. End racism and we end the Republican Party. Or, more realistically, diminish racism (by tackling the structural and institutional variety, which will reduce the individual variety) and we diminish the Republican Party...to where it's eventually no longer viable at the national level. A new, more sane 2nd party would replace it.
