I was asked to imagine this scenario but I do think when Trump loses reelection he’ll leave the White House & probably refuse to attend the Democrat’s inauguration because the crowd will be much larger than his.

Lawrence O’Donnell has imagined the scenario should Donald Trump lose the 2020 election and not want to leave the White House willingly.

assuming it's a Dem, will thank Trump for his service? If I were POTUS, would I thank him for his service. Part of me would to show how a decent, well-mannered person would act. Part of me would not, because of all the damage and treason that Trump has done. Perhaps come Jan 2021 inauguration day, the Mueller report will have gone public, and it will be obvious that thanking him for his service will be a moot question.

I would like the next Dem POTUS to say something in his inauguration address to say something about honor, integrity, and honesty expected of gov officials in his administration.

as an object lesson in immorality, corruption, criminality, stupidity, and just plain evil. I hope that books are written, movies made, TV series broadcast, lectures in history and political science classes all over the country. Document and teach Trump the way the Nixon era was treated. Even more so. It may take 50 years to get there. But we, as a nation, need to look at it and tell the truth about it.

Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set ye free.
