A small special joy on this Sunday. It cuts through the hate . . . .
Darlene Love was the guest DJ on Sirius XM's 50s on 50 this afternoon. I was out and about this afternoon and she was just pure joy to listen to. Her reminiscences of her recording days and the early days of rock and roll and Motown.
I loved her when she sang with the Blossoms in the late 50s and all the way through her career.
A special lady.
I still miss her Christmas performances on Letterman's show.
