Calling someone from the Philippine Islands a "Flip" is exactly the same as calling a Jew a "Kike" or using the N word to refer to an Afro-American. It is as mean as it gets. I only found that out when I taught in a school with students who's parents were from the Philippine Islands. Oh, there are more..but I needed to update on that awful term that Trump used...Others will verify this, but this is indeed ugly.
