Keith Ellison Denies Accusation Made by Ex-Girlfriend's Son that Congressman 'Abused' Her

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) flatly denied accusations he abused ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan, as she and her son Austin claimed otherwise on social media, recounting a dark period of “pure hell.”

In a statement made Sunday, Ellison contended there was no video of himself and Monahan in an altercation as Austin had alleged in a Facebook post the previous day.

“Karen and I were in a long-term relationship which ended in 2016, and I still care deeply for her well-being,” Ellison said, according to Minnesota Public Radio. “This video does not exist because I never behaved in such a way, and any characterization otherwise is false.”

The congressman is now vying for his state’s attorney general seat, amid growing scandal over his alleged actions prompted by Austin’s account of the situation, which could prove damning if true.

“My brother and I watched our mom come out of pure hell after getting out of her relationship with Keith Ellison,” he wrote.

Austin then went on to detail what he says was a violent past between his mother and the congressman.

“In the middle of 2017, I was using my moms computer trying to download something and I clicked on a file, I found over 100 text and twitters messages and video almost 2 min long that showed Keith Ellison dragging my mama off the bed by her feet, screaming and calling her a ‘fucking bitch’ and telling her to get the fuck out of his house,” he said. “The messages I found, were mixed with him consistently telling my mom he wanted her back, he missed her, he knew he fucked up and we wished he could do things different, he would victim shaming, bully her, and threaten her if she went public. I text him and told him I know what you did to my mama and a few other things.”

Now the denial is out there they all have stories about it. Why? These claims were made the better part of a week ago. This stinks to high heaven.
