The way I understand it, Burnett is the creator and owner of the show.
He got NBC to air it, but he owns it.
If that is true, then whatever outtakes and unaired footage that exists belongs to him.
So, that begs the question:
Does he have the only copy of anything incriminating to Trump or others on his show?
It is possible that a line producer, editor, or someone on the show secretly made and kept copies.
Burnett is reportedly a very close friend and ally of Trump.
If so, he has assuredly made efforts to corral any rogue incriminating tapes out there.
My question is this: what would it take to flip Burnett or anybody that could still be holding such a tape or tapes?
Money? Appeals to patriotism? Blackmail?

A rock solid contract between him and Trump that his lawyers say woudlnallow Trump to devastate him legally if he released them.
He may have destroyed them out of the misplaced sense of loyalty. Or for huge piles of cash.
He may genuinely fear for his life.
They may show him in just as bad a light as Trump.
Lots of possible answers.

(1,117 posts)If he releases the tapes he will win any legal war, and real Americans will back him.
NDAs dont bind in cases of criminal action. And hed win any PR war.
People are far too scared about legal contracts restricting speech.
Burnett is complicit. That simple.

What possible "criminal action" is on the tapes?
That's just silliness.

(1,117 posts)You may be right - perhaps there is no conduct that could be violating criminal law happening in the white house in the past two years

(62,444 posts)But 'The Apprentice' was not taped in the White House.
Perhaps you misunderstand the topic of this thread, which is why Mark Burnett does not release unused footage shot during The Apprentice, which is alleged to have Trump saying off-color things. Your suggestion, that these Apprentice tapes show some kind of criminal conspiracy taking place, and thus would not be subject to an NDA, is kind of amusing, but it would be interesting to know what sort of criminal activity you believe to have been going on while The Apprentice was being taped, since none of the participants who have claimed the off-color language have even suggested such a thing.
