ommitted to Family: Ive been married to Kent for 42 years. We have three adult children who graduated from Glen Lake Community Schools. We believe in the importance of extended family my mother lived with us for 24 years.
Committed to Community: I have lived in Empire Township for 36 years and currently give back to the community in several areas. I was appointed to seats on the Empire Zoning Board of Appeals and the Leelanau County Solid Waste Council. I was a captain for the Voters Not Politicians anti-gerrymandering petition drive for Leelanau County. I am a precinct delegate for Empire Township, an American Cancer Society volunteer driver, and an active member of St. Philip Catholic Church in Empire.
Committed to Caring for People: I worked as a registered nurse for 39 years. I have experience as a pediatric charge nurse, in obstetrics, as a mental health nurse, a special education school nurse, a hospital supervisor, a home care nurse, and as a nursing instructor.
Committed to Small Business Growth: As co-owner of our family-run construction business with my husband Kent for 32 years, I could be seen pounding nails or hauling lumber with our kids when I was not working as a nurse.
