In 1995, the media opined that the OJ jury deliberations resulted in a guilty verdict

I remember that day well. As soon as the jury reached its lightning verdict (4 hours)!, most media I watched said that the quick verdict and the question the jury asked Judge Ito indicated a guilty verdict. I believed he was innocent so panicked at the time. I was just 12.

So, yeah, was he found guilty that Tuesday morning because the media said so?

They announced that they were about to announce the verdict, so traffic stopped and drivers rolled down their windows or even opened their doors and got out, and blared the radio so all the pedestrians could hear.

It was one of those surreal manhattan moments.

Then the verdict was read and back in their cars they went and that was that.
