Trump Mocked After Cancelling Military Parade: Plan ‘Substitute Parade’ For Everyone With ‘Bone Spurs’

President Donald Trump officially announced the cancellations of plans to host a military parade in Washington, D.C., as the $92 million cost estimate was too high — and Twitter was quick to mock him for even dreaming up the outlandish proposition.

The $92 million number came from a CNBC report released yesterday, which said the Pentagon required $50 million to fund the parade, while Homeland Security required $42 million.

As for Trump’s desire for parades, they began last year after he visited France to meet with Emmanuel Macron and became enamored with the country’s military festivities. “Because of what I witnessed, we may do something like that on July 4th in Washington down Pennsylvania [Avenue],” Trump tweeted last year. “We’re thinking … of having a really great parade, to show our military strength.”
