This is what passes for "education" among christian homeschoolers:

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/08/33-jaw-droppingly-stupid-multiple-choice-test-questions-used-christian-homeschoolers/

Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) is a fundamentalist curriculum founded in Texas in 1970. It started as a program for private Christian day schools, but it has been hugely successful among conservative home schoolers. Today, ACE claims it is used in “6,000 schools and thousands of home educators in over 140 countries.” It’s also used in government-funded voucher programs in several US states.

...

Howard later wrote “We do not build Christian schools primarily to give a child the best education nor to teach him how to make a good living. Teaching him how to live and to love and serve God are our primary tasks.”

They seem to be teaching children to be stupid. Why is that?

That I will take no joy when I inevitably have to tell their children no because they're not qualified when they apply for a job at whatever company I'm at.

7. This reminds me of a story my student told

Her sister is hyper religious. One day, my student was visiting her sister, and she was warming something up in the microwave. The microwave began arcing. My student said, "Look, sister, it's God's Holy Fire! Now when someone asks you where God's Holy Fire is, you tell them it's in the microwave." Her sister was not amused.

So, college level test:

God's Holy Fire is located in: (a) your belly (b) Donald Trump's apartment complex (c) the microwave

However, more often than not it's zealots who want their kids to grow up as ignorant as they are.
