Sad story out of Iowa.

The body of the missing girl was found. Any other details haven't been released.

where she is, so to speak. And they sort of know what happened.

I think it would be far, far worse never to find the body, to spend years, or the rest of your life as a parent, not knowing what happened, always hoping because there is always that distant chance she's still alive.

4. Sad one in Montana too...

A boating accident on the Yellowstone River, a few weeks back, dad (a county sheriff two counties over)and daughter survived, mother drowned but was recovered the same day. The teen-aged son, was finally found yesterday 16 miles down river. I was at the river near the spot where he was finally found, on the day of the accident.
