I Don't Think Swalwell Should Announce Anything Yet

I don't think Swalwell should announce yet that he's thinking of running for 2020. No Democrat should bring that up yet. Because I think as soon as they do, the republican smear machine will start (or, at least the "research to smear" will start)! Don't give the rethugs a longer period of time to smear you than is necessary!

Even if he doesn't succeed to the Pres nomination, he could be VP. Even if neither happens, he would get the national exposure well beyond the House of Reps and occasional cable appearances fo his next run. Win win. And if there really is anything negative in his background, best to get it out of the way soon so it doesn't land late in a campaign to throttle votes.
