Let's hear it for STORMY DANIELS, who defied her NDA and has been determined to get Trump

from the very beginning.

The two charges that Cohen fingered Trump for are why Stormy decided to hire Michael Avenatti, and to go public.

THANK YOU, STORMY DANIELS.

Just as a reminder, when Stormy started making her public appearances, Trump was threatening her with $1 million fines EVERY TIME she made a public statement about her arrangement with Essential consultants. That's what the NDA had said. So every time she went out in public, she was defying that -- and trusting Avenatti that the NDA couldn't stop her.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2018/03/25/transcript-stormy-daniels-60-minutes-interview/457437002/

Intro: A week and a half before the 2016 election, Donald Trump’s personal attorney paid a porn star named Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about her alleged relationship with the Republican candidate for president. Today, that arrangement is well on its way to becoming the most talked-about “hush agreement” in history, with potential legal and political implications for the president. Through his spokesman, Mr. Trump has denied having an affair with Stormy Daniels, and his lawyers are now threatening her with financial ruin, saying she has to pay $1 million dollars every time she violates her agreement to stay silent. But that didn’t stop her from coming on 60 Minutes.

(Editor's note: Stormy Daniels' real name is Stephanie Clifford.)

Anderson Cooper: For sitting here talking to me today you could be fined a million dollars I mean aren't you taking a big risk?

Stephanie Clifford: I am.

Anderson Cooper: I guess I’m not 100% sure on why you're doing this.

... but alas, he didn't work at the White House. And Wolff only interviewed people who worked there. I say this because if he had been highlighted in the book, we might have gotten here (where we are now) sooner and with fewer side detours.

As it is, Stormy Daniels wasn't included either, but Steve Bannon is quoted in the book saying that about 100 women were paid off before the election to keep them silent. Stormy wasn't mentioned by name but I'm sure she's part of that number. Therefore her lawsuit against Trump DID start things off with a bang.

It's been a crazy 22 months since the orange asshole stole the election and completely screwed up our lives. I can't wait for this nightmare to be over!

she'd be babbling about his plumbing her if she wasn't paid to keep quiet. It's called extortion and is anything but honorable.

I'd respect her if she'd decided she owed it to her nation to talk and declined the payoff. But she didn't.

And having signed and accepted money, I'd respect her for honoring her contract. She did not "defy" her NDA. She tore it up because of the chance to make a lot more money, and her "defiance" did not include returning the payoff.

I don't require people to be perfect and I like her ability to be honest about herself, but hers as just more of the lowlife behavior typical of those who associate with Trump. We're getting a long look into a disgusting and depraved world.

29. :) Two words: Mueller investigation.

Cohen worked closely for years for The Target of the investigation, even if Trump's not officially named. Of course the investigation would have turned this up, of limited interest as it may be to Mueller.

Interestingly, Mueller has not interviewed Cohen and has turned Cohen over to the SDNY for further investigation and prosecution of non- Trump/Russia crimes. Perhaps he'll be brought back at some point -- or not. Actually, it's 6 words: Add "State of New York" because they'd be on a bunch of this stuff without Mueller.

Daniels'/Avenotti's public revelations have given the media and us a lot to talk about, and they did inspire Trump himself to babble publicly against the advice of his attorney, but they were not needed by the DoJ, FBI, or Mueller.

Good sense of humor. How about interesting sense of humor? For sure I wouldn't hire God to run a street cleaner.
