Conservative New York Times columnist Bret Stephens said President Donald Trump should resign or be impeached and removed from office in light of his former lawyer’s guilty plea.

Stephens, a right-wing columnist for the Times and frequent critic of Trump, wrote on Twitter that while he’s been skeptical of impeachment, the plea “changes that.”

“I’ve been skeptical about the wisdom and merit of impeachment,” Stephens wrote. “Cohen’s guilty plea changes that. The president is clearly guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors.”

“He should resign his office or be impeached and removed from office,” he added.

9. It's about time, but this is also necessary

We need to get a LOT more public support for removing Trump from office, and even though Bret Stephens is not held in high regard here (or in most decent society), he is still a leading conservative media voice. If we're going to save this country, we have much groundwork to do, public opinion to sway, and high crimes to unmask.
