They got him convicted on at least 1 count from each of the three buckets...

So it may depend if he now decides to cooperate with Mueller...

And again when he is sentenced to prison.

If the prosecutors decide that he hasn't cooperated and his sentence is such that he might be out in 5 or 6 years... they might go for the other 10 counts.

It know this was the warm up for Manafort. His case for much more serious crimes goes to trial in September.

If he cooperates the hung charges go away. If Trump pardons him they try these charges again.

Know this, now the real pressure starts from prosecutors. Manafort has a family living in luxury, prosecutors can threaten to put them all in the street.

but someone may well have brought it up.

This Cohen thing:

Lanny Davis: Cohen 'more than happy' to tell Mueller 'all that he knows'
https://www.democraticunderground.com/10142139325

That might be more devastating than the convictions because it becomes more difficult for Manafort to see how he can come out ahead backing Trump (aside from avoiding the Russians maybe killing him ..)

Cohen & Manafort guilty was a double whammy in the media but probably only moved his hard core a few points. The most devastating part is that it became much more difficult to see how Trump is going to prevail long term.

His lawyer and campaign manager are going to jail along with guilty pleas from thfree others from his campaign. His fixer lawyer is now starting to rat them out for a lesser sentence. The WH lawyer may have already ratted him out. And Rudy Giuliani can't lie fast enough to defend him.

Rats jump off a sinking boat. As this sinks in and the poll numbers drop further, it will start to snowball and the incline will drop faster. The GOP will try to claim credit for his demise.

Et tu Brute McConnell is coming ..

While is seems grossly unfair, the judge can consider the charges for which the jury hung-up in imposing sentence on a showing of a much lower burden of proof.

They got their conviction. There will be years in the sentence. There is another - more serious - case coming up next month.

I don't think the game would be worth the candle.

If the jury was hung on TEN counts, then why did they bother to ask what would happen if they were hung on just one? Makes no sense.
