If these characters were alive today the GOP would welcome them if they were Republicans running for office. Criminality, pedophilia, felony theft and all manner of lawlessness represents the GOP today. The fact that the country is controlled by a bunch of thugs is so reprehensible. If this situation is the new normal I do not see how the country survives as a decent place to live. Where we are headed is like the society would be in Gotham or the city of Robocop.

The fact that the Democrats have to win control of at least the House or Senate becomes so much more obvious by the day. It seems like our worst fears about 2016 are becoming reality on steroids. The number of unsavory and evil characters on the political scene rivals Nazi Germany in some ways except we don't have the death camps yet. It is not that we will but so many other bad things are in place or about to become reality.

I pray every night that the blue wave becomes reality and becomes a tsunami. We simply have no choice. And we have to hope that there are enough sane voters to make the difference.
