(58,724 posts)Just thought I'd share those feelings with my fellow DUers - see if anyone else feels the same way.
Not especially concerned about it - more bemusement, I guess.

(62,276 posts)I can see people donating $5 here or there as a joke, just to say "fuck Trump" or whatever. You could use it as a conversation starter or whatever.
"Oh yeah I donated to Cohen's GoFundMe, I'm glad he's taking Trump down!"
oberliner
(58,724 posts)That might be throwing off the average.

(58,724 posts)Considering all the corrupt things he has done over the years in the service of Donald Trump and for his own financial benefit.

(44,130 posts)among other things. Apparently he says he would refuse a pardon from Trump. So I can see why some folks might want to help him with his legal bills.
Some folks believe in redemption.
I wont be donating, but I get it.

(2,857 posts)Maybe I'm wrong, but the taxi licenses are basically worthless in the days of Uber and I think there were huge loans on them from back when they were a good investment.. These other sources may not have anything left with the attorney fees he has had so far.

(58,724 posts)Presumably that means that the judge believes that Cohen's wife would be able to produce $500,000 if her husband does not show up in court. Cohen also said in court yesterday Last night at dinner I had a glass of Glenlivet 12 on the rocks. which seems to indicate that he is not exactly scrimping and saving every penny to try to pay his legal fees. One would think if he was indigent to the point that he needed to crowd fund his legal fees that he would not have been able to have been released on $500,000 bond.

(2,857 posts)But I think we all define wealth differently. The rich can never get enough.
I was thinking of this article I guess

(2,857 posts)Look at how many dems donated to Jill Stein. They have hope, but it is foolish.
