Tax returns from 2010-2014 were the basis for conviction. But there is no statute of limitations on unreported income.

He is impugning any testimony that Manafort might give in the future and Cohen's now. It is rather transparent. Subtly is not strong in this one.

Five convictions were for tax evasion/false tax returns in the five years between 2010 and 2014

Manafort did not report his foreign bank accounts between 2011 and 2014 and was convicted for failing to do so in 2012

Between 2015 and early 2017, prosecutors claim Manafort defrauded or attempted to defraud several US banks, He was convicted on two counts.

Six of the eight convictions so far were within the last six years with one as recent as last year.

and nobody finds out they are fraudulent until an audit sometime in the 7 years after.

Similarly, the bank won't knowingly grant a loan on a fraudulent claim (unless they get the Sec of the Army job ..) so bank fraud is usually determined well after the fact.

Just more bullshit America has to dig through
