Why no mention Cohen was RNC financial co-Chair when he committed the election crimes?

Wouldn't it seem to be a big thing that one of the guys overseeing the money coming into the GOP was dirty?

Guess they didn't want to put that out there when he was also arranging to pay off the girlfriend of the other co-Chair.

It's not a bug, it's a feature!

I hope Mueller has a paper trail.

"There are plenty of reasons for people in Trump’s orbit to worry. Cohen, who has been described as the sixth child of the Trump family, could be a treasure trove of information, having been involved in the negotiation of Trump Organization business deals with oligarchs in Russia and Kazakhstan. Even before he connected with Trump, Cohen had family ties to people in the Russian underworld. His uncle, Morton Levine, ran a Brooklyn social club that was a popular meeting place for Italian and Russian mobsters in the 1980s and 1990s, as well as the headquarters of Boris Nayfeld, once the most feared Russian crime boss in the U.S. (Levine was never accused of any wrongdoing.) Cohen is also a longtime friend of Trump business associate Felix Sater, who pleaded guilty to his involvement in a money-laundering scheme with the Russian mob before helping develop the Trump SoHo hotel. (According to the F.B.I., Sater’s father was a right-hand man of Russian mafia chieftain Semion Mogilevich, considered to be the “boss of bosses” overseeing Russian organized crime worldwide.) In early 2017, together with then-national security adviser Michael Flynn and a Ukrainian lawmaker, Cohen and Sater worked on an peace plan to resolve the Ukraine-Russia crisis that was allegedly endorsed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. (It is not clear if anything ever came of the proposal.)"

was the chairman until it was discovered he was a serial sexual assaulter, at which time he stepped down...Cohen didn’t step down until June 20!!!

Oh wouldn’t we *LOVE* to see a forensic accountant from FinCEN audit this RNC slush fund!?!?

Putting a bug in the media's ear is necessary here, in letters or emails to major media outlets. The fact of RNC complicity shouldn't get lost in the shuffle.

See https://www.democraticunderground.com/100211031694 . The payments ran from January to Dec 2017, and came from "the Trust" - whether that's one of their bogus charitable trusts, or the not-so-blind trust supposedly keeping his investments at arms' (and short hands') length from him, I don't think is clear yet.

But being made co-chair presumably indicates they liked the cut of his jib.
