Along with the SD county remnants of Metzger's Aryan Nation, Sovereign Citizens, and a bunch of Hell's Angels and Hell's Angels wanna-bees.
Lots of open area, lots of disgruntled city folk who want their own acre or two to build a small, controllable world where they can play "self-sufficient cowboy or mountain-man".

He's gotten by on his Daddy's name and his lip-service to being a "Good, Christian Veteran" and a gun-nut hunter (no pun intended). He's not half as smart as his Daddy was, and his Daddy was greedy ex-military exploiter who spent his life sucking off the government teat in the mold of John McCain - except not as "mavericky"
