Beto O'Rourke - NFL Players Kneeling During the National Anthem-I can think of nothing more American

@MuslimIQ
A man says he’s frustrated with NFL players who take a knee, and asks @BetoORourke if he agrees that taking a knee is offensive?

Hero’s short answer is no—but his long answer is one I can’t imagine any American red or blue can disagree with. Wow

That was also a pretty loaded question. Glad to see Beto hit it out of the park.

. . . but I'll be damned if that clip didn't give me flashbacks to 2008.

and truly believe that if Beto pulls the upset, he will be our candidate for president in the next 12 years. As my wife loves to remind me, I am cynical by nature. The first time we saw this man speak in person, I was absolutely taken in. Beto was outstanding on his policy positions and just as important, was an outstandingly earnest and convincing salesperson for those policies.

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, one area we don't talk about enough in dissecting previous elections is charisma. For the actual objective of getting elected, this probably more important than policy. Its unfortunate, but just a fact of American life. Beto has a combination of the two that is reminiscent of Obama, or one of the Kennedys.

It would be a shame if such a promising political prospect is derailed because Texas is such a backwards state. I know I am doing everything I can, and thousands of other volunteers all over the state are doing the same. The latest polls show us within striking range. I know Texas has been fools gold in the past, but I hope the DNC realizes not only do we have a chance, we have a candidate worth fighting for. We will probably need some national funding here later in the race. Cruz is already hitting the panic button and McConnell's pac is spending here in Texas as we speak.

Listening to him talk at town halls makes me feel hopeful again. Which is something I think we all need.
